eXtra Membership (Jood) Terms and Conditions
Membership & Account:
- Every new Jood member will receive a digital account upon joining the program.
- The Jood account will be linked to the member's registered mobile number or email address.
- Jood Account Credit can only be earned and redeemed while the Jood membership is active.
Existing & New Members:
- Existing Jood members will continue enjoying the current discount program until their memberships expire.
- New Jood members will join the Jood Credit program.
- Both the Discount and Jood Credit programs will continue to operate together during the transition period.
Subscription & Payment:
- eXtra customers can subscribe to the Jood membership through extra.com, the eXtra mobile app, or eXtra stores in Saudi Arabia only.
- Membership is valid for one year from the subscription date.
Registration Steps:
- When a customer starts the subscription process, the customer's identity will be verified as follows:
- In Store: eXtra will send a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS and email to the customer's registered mobile number and email address to verify the customer's information.
- Online: Customers must log in to their existing account or create a new account.
- Once the registration process is completed and the subscription fee has been paid, eXtra will send a confirmation notification to the customer.
Membership Cancellation:
- The membership cannot be cancelled or refunded once the subscription process has been completed.
Membership Renewal:
- Customers will receive an email seven (7) days prior to membership expiry containing a link to renew or upgrade their membership (Jood Smart members are excluded from upgrading or downgrading their membership as they are not eligible for that). Customers may also choose auto-renewal.
- Upon renewing or upgrading a Jood membership, any valid unused credit will be carried forward to the new membership, subject to the credit’s original expiry date.
Membership Categories:
- Jood Blue: Subscription fee of € 199 (One Hundred and Ninety-Nine Saudi Riyals), inclusive of VAT.
- Jood Smart: Subscription fee of € 399 (Three Hundred and Ninety-Nine Saudi Riyals), inclusive of VAT. Jood Smart is a standalone membership tier with no upgrade or downgrade option.
- Jood Gold: Subscription fee of € 599 (Five Hundred and Ninety-Nine Saudi Riyals), inclusive of VAT.
Annual Membership Benefits:
- Jood Account Credit:
Members earn Jood Account Credit on eligible purchases made during the membership period, excluding the products and services listed below, in addition to promo codes provided as special offers to Jood members. Jood Credit of up to 15% applies to a maximum annual purchase amount of € 50,000 (Only Fifty Thousand Saudi Riyals). If the member wants to apply Jood Credit to additional purchases beyond this limit, he/she may purchase a new membership.- The following products and services are excluded from earning credit in Jood Account:
- All Apple products.
- Products included in the High-Efficiency Air Conditioning Initiative.
- Smart cards, prepaid recharge cards, gift cards, and similar products.
- Certain products available exclusively online may not be eligible for Jood membership benefits. Please refer to the product page to verify Jood Account Credit eligibility for the specific product.
- The following products and services are excluded from earning credit in Jood Account:
- Family Entertainment Benefits:
Jood members will receive a complimentary Sparky’s card upon subscription. - Additional Membership Benefits Include:
- Extended return and exchange period.
- Early access to major promotional campaigns.
- 24/7 remote technical support.
Earning Credit in Jood Account:
- Eligible purchases made using an active Jood membership will earn credit in Jood Account.
- Credit earned will be credited to the member's digital account.
- Credit may vary by product, campaign, or promotion.
Redeeming Jood Credit:
- Available credit can be redeemed on eligible future purchases.
- Redemption is subject to the applicable Jood program rules, exclusions, and spending limits.
- Jood Account Credit cannot be exchanged for cash or Gift Cards.
Jood Credit Validity:
- Jood Credit may be subject to a specific expiry period.
- Any unused credit will expire upon the expiry of the credit validity period.
- Members may receive reminders before their Jood Credit expires.
Returns & Cancellations:
- If a product purchased using Jood Credit is cancelled or returned, the credit used will be returned to the member’s Jood Account while retaining the credit’s original expiry date.
- If a product or order that resulted in the member earning Jood Account Credit is cancelled or returned, the Jood Account Credit earned from the cancelled or returned purchase will be cancelled and deducted from the member’s Jood Account. If the member has already used all or part of the earned credit before cancelling or returning the purchase that resulted in the credit, the value of the credit used will be deducted from the refund amount due to the member for the cancelled or returned purchase, in accordance with the refund policy applicable to the Jood Program.
- Customers are only entitled to a refund of the amount they actually paid, unless any amounts have been deducted for their use of the earned credit, as explained in the previous point.
Membership Migration:
- Existing members will migrate to the Jood Credit program upon renewing or upgrading their memberships after the launch of the new program.
- Members cannot revert to the previous discount program after migrating to the Jood Credit program.
Jood Credit Bonus:
- eXtra may, at its sole discretion, add additional credit to a member’s account as part of promotional campaigns, customer service compensation, goodwill gestures, or other approved campaigns.
Limitations:
- eXtra reserves the right to accept or reject any Jood membership application at its sole discretion.
- Members may not assign, transfer, or share their membership or any of its benefits, including Jood Credit promo codes, to any other person.
- Membership cannot be upgraded from Jood Blue to Jood Gold on the same day of subscription. Upgrades may only take place after at least 24 hours from the subscription date.
- Jood Smart is a standalone membership tier and cannot be upgraded to or from another Jood membership tier.
- Certain Jood membership benefits may be subject to minimum purchase requirements, quantity limits, customer’s address restrictions, or other specific eligibility criteria.
- eXtra reserves the right to add, amend, or remove any Jood membership benefits at its sole discretion.
- The Jood program is intended for individual customers only.
Change of Terms & Conditions:
- eXtra may, at its sole discretion, amend these Terms & Conditions, the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, or any aspect of the membership program, provided that members are notified of such amendments sufficiently in advance of their effective date.
Termination of Membership by eXtra:
- eXtra may terminate a member's Jood membership at its sole discretion, with the member being notified immediately upon the termination decision. If this occurs, the member will receive a refund equivalent to the membership fee for the remaining months of the membership.
- If eXtra terminates a membership due to any breach or violation by the member, eXtra reserves the right not to refund any portion of the membership fee.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction:
- These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions or the Jood membership program, the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Use of Personal Data:
- The member acknowledges and consents to the processing of his/her personal data by eXtra in connection with the membership program.
General Terms:
- Jood Credit cannot be used outside eXtra nor transferred to another customer.
- eXtra reserves the right to amend the Jood program, Jood Credit rules, eligible products, and these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- Abuse or misuse of the program may result in membership cancellation or forfeiture of Jood Credit.
Acknowledgment & Approval:
- The member acknowledges that he/she has read and agreed to the terms & conditions of the Jood membership program. The general terms & conditions of eXtra apply.
